In 2005, Joey Villani was hired for a grooming photo shoot for a pet cosmetic company at Henri Bendel, a high-end department store in Manhattan.
A customer, upset by her Bichon Frise getting dirty from slush and grime needed a quick way to get her dog showroom ready without the need for an expensive full groom.
Thus was born the inspiration for Joey Villani to create a solution for maintaining a clean coat between grooms.
Joey researched and revived the "Old World Grooming" methods from the 1800s, which used powders, sawdust, and emulsifiers. This led to the development of the "PETicures Quick Clean Waterless System," combining modern formulations and equipment for today's pets.
